    Aims and learning outcomes

    Aims

    1. To test and develop existing research skills, including IT skills;

    2. To give training in the development of generic research skills relevant to work in the Humanities;

    3. To give training in the development of subject-specific skills relevant to the study of mysticism and religious experience, especially in textual hermeneutics.


    Learning outcomes

    By the end of the module, students

    1. will have developed new skills in the critical engagement with texts and other sources;

    2. will have acquired and demonstrated new skills in bibliography;

    3. will have acquired and demonstrated new skills in information retrieval and computing;

    4. will have produced a piece of work (in printed or electronic form) designed to demonstrate these skills;


    Notes on the completion of an annotated bibliography or literature review.
